The first was a report from the FDA that at least 23 cases of esophageal cancer have been linked to the use of Fosamax. Just hours later a study was released that found a link between osteonecroisis (condition in which the jaw bone dies) and use of osteoporosis drugs in the same class as Foxamax known as bisphosphonates.
